On August 26, Feidian Chuangcheng supported an industrial-park maintenance team with a switchgear partial discharge investigation and repeat measurements. Following unusual signals found during routine inspection, the teams checked the site conditions and compared records from an agreed set of measurement points.
A PD investigation needs information about both the asset and its measurement environment. Cabinet identifiers, connections and background signals were recorded alongside the instrument configuration and site observations to support later analysis.

Making initial and repeat measurements comparable
The measurement chain was checked using the digital PD detector and pulse calibrator. Signals were saved under measurement-point identifiers. Repeat tests used the agreed locations and settings, with separate notes whenever connections or operating conditions changed.
The work brought together three groups of records:
- Cabinet identifiers, measurement points and connection arrangements;
- Background signals and data from each measurement point;
- Comparisons of initial measurements, repeat tests and changes in site conditions.
These records provide a reference for later inspection and help different operators use a consistent approach. Signals requiring follow-up can be tracked alongside the operating condition of the equipment.
