On July 15, Feidian Chuangcheng worked with a university high-voltage laboratory to review a test setup for applying pulses to insulation samples and acquiring waveforms. The laboratory wanted clear connection notes and a consistent naming system so records would remain comparable when samples changed.
The teams reviewed the source, load, triggering and voltage measurement requirements against the equipment conditions. They then checked the connections between the voltage divider and acquisition equipment. Sample identifiers, instrument settings and waveform files were kept together rather than filed separately after each test.
Linking equipment settings to recorded waveforms
The review covered the following stages. The laboratory determines the test settings according to its task and equipment conditions.
| Test stage | Information retained |
|---|---|
| Pulse application | Source configuration, load conditions and sample identifier |
| Voltage acquisition | Divider connections and acquisition settings |
| Waveform archiving | Waveform file, trigger conditions and test observations |
After checking the measurement chain, the site team acquired waveforms from a test sample and assembled circuit notes and a record template. Later changes to samples or measurement settings can be documented against the same record.

The work connected equipment selection, connection checks and data recording in a common workflow, providing a practical reference for the laboratory's continuing insulation materials tests.
